RECAP: Chicago Jewish Alliance Attends Skokie Village Human Relations Commission
Date: 4/27/26
The Chicago Jewish Alliance was in attendance at the Skokie Village Human Relations Commission meeting on Monday, April 27, where community leaders, officials, and residents gathered to address the recent rise in antisemitic incidents targeting students in local parks. During the meeting, we learned of a fourth incident, further underscoring that this is not isolated but a growing pattern that demands immediate attention.
In response, we are calling for increased security presence in public parks and gathering spaces, as well as greater transparency from the Village of Skokie when it comes to reporting data on these incidents. Our community deserves clear information, accountability, and proactive measures to ensure safety.
We remain committed to advocating for the protection of Jewish students and families and will continue pushing for meaningful action from local leadership.
