  • RECAP: CJA Takes Buffalo Grove PRIDE!

    Posted by · June 17, 2026 1:17 PM

    Date: Jun 7, 2026
We were honored to walk alongside our neighbors at Buffalo Grove Pride.

For many LGBTQ+ Zionists, the last two years have meant losing friendships, communities, and spaces they once called home. We want them to know they will always have one with us.

No one should have to choose between who they are and what they believe.

You belong. You are welcome. And you never have to stand alone.
  • RECAP: Going on the Offensive: How to Respond to Defamations with Dr. Charles Jacobs

    Posted by · June 17, 2026 1:15 PM

    Date: Jun 4, 2026
The Chicago Jewish Alliance and Canadian Women Against Antisemitism recently welcomed a fantastic turnout for an important webinar featuring Dr. Charles Jacobs on navigating conversations about Israel and recognizing how language is often used to distort facts, reshape narratives, and assign false moral blame toward Israel and the Jewish people.

Drawing on decades of experience in advocacy, media analysis, and combating antisemitism, Dr. Jacobs provided attendees with practical tools to identify these tactics in real time, reframe conversations, and respond with greater clarity and confidence. Participants left with valuable insights, thoughtful perspectives, and actionable strategies they can use in everyday discussions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this timely and impactful program. Together, we are helping our community become better equipped to engage, educate, and advocate with purpose.

RECAP: Two Evenings with Shahar Cohen...That Almost Didn’t Happen.
    Date
    : 5/3/26

"Did you know the Shahar Cohen Show nearly got canceled? Security threats were jeopardizing the event.

Thankfully, CJA’s mission of providing security at every Jewish event in Chicago held strong, and Bramble Arts Loft refused to cower.

Instead of fear winning, both evenings were packed with laughter, unity, pride, and an overwhelming sense of community. Chicago Jews showed up proudly, filled the room, and refused to let intimidation silence Jewish joy. What could have been a canceled event became two unforgettable nights celebrating resilience, humor, and togetherness.

    Date: 4/27/26
The Chicago Jewish Alliance was in attendance at the Skokie Village Human Relations Commission meeting on Monday, April 27, where community leaders, officials, and residents gathered to address the recent rise in antisemitic incidents targeting students in local parks. During the meeting, we learned of a fourth incident, further underscoring that this is not isolated but a growing pattern that demands immediate attention.

In response, we are calling for increased security presence in public parks and gathering spaces, as well as greater transparency from the Village of Skokie when it comes to reporting data on these incidents. Our community deserves clear information, accountability, and proactive measures to ensure safety.

We remain committed to advocating for the protection of Jewish students and families and will continue pushing for meaningful action from local leadership.
