The Jewish Bookshelf: Suicidal Empathy by Dr. Gad Saad
Join the Chicago Jewish Alliance for an engaging afternoon of conversation, community, and thoughtful discussion as we explore Suicidal Empathy by Dr. Gad Saad. In this bestselling book, Dr. Saad examines the concept of “suicidal empathy” and argues that misguided compassion and misplaced moral priorities are contributing to many of the cultural and political challenges facing the West today. Together, we’ll discuss the book’s central ideas and explore how they intersect with Jewish values, current events, and the challenges facing our communities today.
You do not need to finish the book to attend. If you’ve started reading, listened to a podcast featuring Dr. Saad, watched one of his interviews, or are simply curious about the ideas discussed in the book, you’re welcome to join us. Our goal is to have an engaging conversation while building community and connecting with others.
Light refreshments will be provided. Admission is free, and optional donations are appreciated to help support future CJA programs. Located in Skokie, IL. Please RSVP to receive the exact event address.
