On the second anniversary of the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust, an act of hate shook Skokie, IL, when Jewish children were harassed and shot with gel pellets on October 7, 2025 — simply for being Jewish.

Beautifully Jewish invites crafters, artists, and makers everywhere to create handmade hearts to be displayed throughout Skokie during the eight nights of Hanukkah 2026.

Each heart will shine as a message of hope and solidarity with Skokie’s legacy of resilience, and with the crafters who supported the Squirrel Hill community through the Jewish Hearts for Pittsburgh project we are proudly echoing today.

Let’s fill the streets with color, kindness, and courage.
